Make a pact with yourself to never buy something on the spot. Give it a day to think about it, then if you decide you can't live without it, maybe you really do need it. Going on a carbon diet is like any other diet. It can be difficult at first, but after you get used to living with less it can be very comfortable. It can save you a lot of money too. Most of what we buy and use does not really improve the quality of our lives. If you try to think long term, and find ways to cut down on impulse buying, you can reduce a lot.
